Hallo everyone!! I am Coach Alexander who is a blogger of TopTier4You and just incase you got here through Google Search, then good for you. To start with, I know nothing about computer tech however I have been using computers for a pretty long time like most people. Using Windows Operating System is an everyday affair and that in my opinion is not going to change in a long time. Windows for me is the king of operating systems. However, to answer your question, is Windows 10 free? Well the simple answer is Yes, as long as you are able to upgrade it within the year when it was first launched in July 2015, then you are up and running. source; http://www.pcworld.com/article/2873214/windows/windows-10-will-be-a-free-upgrade-for-windows-7-and-8-users.html

Buts thats not why I am really writing this article folks. There are two things I want to talk about windows operating system which I hope there won’t be any hard feelings. First things first, I think windows 7 rocked and I think windows 8 sucked. And i mean sucked BIG!!! Secondly, there are a few things I have learnt from the micro-soft experience which I think can hold valuable lessons to even businessmen around. This article has little tech stuff and its really from an amateurs perspective.

Why I loved Windows 7 and Hated Windows 8

When I first started using the computer I clearly remember how pretty much basic windows used to be. I would wake up early in the morning with a cup of coffee in my hand then afterwards, switch on the  Desktop and next thing, you see a blank green background with some icons here and there. Well it was pretty much basic in terms of introduction. However, things started to get more interesting when we got to windows xp, then vista then finally 7. Turning on the computer and watching it run, became more interesting and more lively. And yes of course, it was a lot faster and things just seemed interesting. As an amateur who doesn’t have a slightest clue about tech stuff, what made me tick when using windows 7 was its neat user interface and a lot of other interesting features which its predecessors never had.

When it came to windows 8, there is only one thing I wasn’t happy about, but i have heard other people speak additional stuff. Its wireless connectivity. I don’t know what it is with windows 8, each time I want to connect to a wireless connection its either it takes a lot of time to detect or it just doesn’t even know its there. I don’t know about you folks, but when I was using windows 7, I could easily pull off a wireless connection with my blackberry hotspot. However, apart from that, I did kinda like the creativity and effort put especially in Windows 8.

What I have learnt

When I Googled on the internet about the problem faced on windows 8, there were a lot of people complaining about it. I was just glad I wasn’t alone but it did teach me a number of things. Who would of thought microsoft would ever face some issues with their softwares. It just comes to show that even world giants need to do their homework sometimes.

I have actually come to learn that in the world of internet marketing or any business, people are always learning. When it comes to product promotion, there is of course need to get the word out there to as many people as possible. It is also helpful to keep improving and upgrading features that would make customers only cry for more. It doesn’t have to be too complicated. I mentioned at the beginning that I am no tech guy but when it comes to computers it should be interesting. Speed and performance are key for me.

I personally think that giving consumers a free version isn’t such a bad idea too. Providing a free service shouldn’t be seen as a heavy cost burden especially to a mighty big companies, however it should be an opportunity to win customer loyalty. Actually in the internet marketing world, providing something for free has the potential to actually skyrocket sells in the long run.

Concerning the problem i mentioned about windows 8, because of my frustration i stopped following it up as to whether it was solved. However, another lesson I learnt was that when it comes to any kind of upgrade, it is always important that you beat the predecessor. I never faced wifi connectivity problems with windows 7 therefore why should I face it with windows 8. Ofcourse, experts will ask me questions about what kind of hardware am using and things like that but to me, I just like to keep things simple. Same goes when selling upgraded products online, you have to make sure that its better than its predecessor. Sad but True.
